Gilroy Typeface Family

We haven’t posted about some free fonts in quite a while.
Today I’d love to write about the Gilroy Typefamily by Radomir Tinkov and also to say that there’s some free surprises in the end of the post.
Gilroy is a modern sans serif with a geometric touch.
The Light & ExtraBold weights are free of charge, so you can use them to your heart’s content.
It could easily work for web, signage, corporate as well as for editorial design.

Play Dead Takes Deck of Cards Illustration to the Next Level

Olivier Pautot Whimsical 3D Character Design Work

Olivier Pautot is a 3D designer based in Besançon, France with an incredible portfolio of 3D work, especially, in my opinion, the fun and whimsical character design ones. Amazing Illustration Work of Mercedes Bazan

I recently came back from a trip to Japan, it was my first time there and I was blown away by the culture, especially the visuals. I was familiar with the aesthetics from video-games and mangas, however seeing some of the contrasts of peaceful and minimal to chaotic and colorful is incredible in person. The reason I’m bringing this up is because I was reading this interview with James White and he mentioned Mercedes Bazan as an illustrator he admires.

Editorial Design: A Brief Story About Everything

I love checking out old project published on sites like Behance and Dribbble. I think it's a great testament of good design if they can stand the test of time. There are some areas that are more prone to survive the painful effect of time. Editorial Design is one of them and this project  that Mane Tatoulian is a great example. It was originally published in 2015 and still feels fresh, at least from my point of view.
