OPPO Reno3 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 1000 and Reno3 Pro 5G with Snapdragon 765G, quad rear cameras to be announced on Dec 26

Update 2: OPPO Reno3 5G landing page has revealed that the Reno3 will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1000 compared to Snapdragon 765G SoC in the Reno3 Pro 5G.
Update: OPPO has confirmed that the Reno3 and Reno3 Pro smartphones will be introduced at an event in China on December 26th.
Reno3 Pro has a punch-hole screen on the left side, while the Reno3 features a water-drop notch screen with a slightly bigger bottom bezel.
Reno 3 Pro 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 765G pack a 4025mAh battery, weigh 180 grams and 7.7mm slim body.
We should know more details about the OPPO Reno 3 in the coming weeks.

Android location access to become safer and more transparent with Android 11

With the launch of the Android 11 Developer Preview for Pixel devices, Google is showing its commitment towards making user location data more safe and transparent to users. One of the main changes that users will see with Android 11 is the ability to share location access to an app just that one time. Before that, users could only either turn location access on or off. Soon with Android 11, Google is giving users the ability to only give the app their location data “Only this time”. To combat this, Google will soon update its Google Play policy that will require developers to get approval from Google if they want to access background location data for their app.

Gmail for iOS now lets users add attachments from Apple’s Files app

As Apple makes iOS and iPadOS more user-friendly with regard to sharing documents and files via third party applications, Gmail for iOS has finally integrated the option to add attachments in mails from Apple’s Files app from Gmail itself. With the new update, Gmail users on both iOS and iPadOS will be able to directly add attachments from the Files app in iOS. Earlier, if users needed to share documents or files that were stored locally in their Apple device, they would need to navigate via the Files app and then share from there. The second row will now show Attachments with a file icon that takes the user directly to the native Apple Files picker. The feature will be available by default for all Gmail for iOS app users with both the rapid release domains and the scheduled release domains getting the update from February 12, 2020.

Reliance Jio starts rolling out VoWiFi service in Delhi and Chennai

Recently, Airtel started testing WiFi Calling (VoWiFi) in several cities in India and later officially launched the service. Following Airtel’s launch, Reliance Jio has now started rolling out WiFi Calling facility in Chennai and Delhi-NCR. Several users in Chennai have reported that they are seeing ‘Jio WiFi’ icon or a similar WiFi Calling icon on their smartphones. Although Airtel WiFi Calling worked with all Wi-Fi networks during the testing phase, it is now restricted to Airtel Broadband users. JioFiber double data vouchers now rolling out to all customers

In a move to promote working from home Reliance Jio earlier this week announced that all JioFiber users will get double data across all plans. The company has finally started rolling out double data vouchers for the customers. If you have 100GB plan, you will get 100GB voucher, 200GB voucher for 200GB plan and so on. This is also applicable for those who have already recharged quarterly, semi-annual and annual plans, you the number of vouchers will increase based on the months.
